Greek Hera the Tamil Aarayee Aravaye

Hera,    Hera , equivalently   ???,   Here , in   Ionic   and   Homer) is the wife and one of three sisters of   Zeus   in the Olympian  pantheon   of   Greek mythology   and   religion. Her chief function is  as the goddess of women and marriage. Her counterpart in the   religion of ancient Rome   was   Juno. The   cow,    lion   and the    peacock   are sacred to her. Hera's mother is   Rhea   and her father   Cronus.

Hera  is the  corrupted form of the Tamil name Aravayee  or Aarayee.   Hera's mother  name  Rhea   is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Ra+  Aya  where Ra is the sun  god and  Aya or Ayee  means  the grandmother or the  ancestor. The name could mean the mother of the Sun god  the primordial fire.  Cronus  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Kronan  or Karnan.  Cow , lion  are sacred to the Dravidian goddess  Kali , wife of  Siva.

Portrayed as majestic and solemn, often enthroned, and crowned with the   polos   (a high cylindrical crown worn by several of the   Great Goddesses), Hera may bear a   pomegranate   in her hand, emblem of fertile blood and death and a substitute for the narcotic capsule of the   opium   poppy.   A scholar of Greek mythology   Walter Burkert   writes in   Greek Religion , "Nevertheless, there are memories of an earlier an iconic representation, as a pillar in Argos and as a plank in Samos."

Samos is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Soman , the moon god. There is one variety of sweet made in Tamil Nadu called as  Somasu. The  shape of this sweet is that of the half moon. Somaesh  and soma Nathan and Somnambulism  are related  names  and words.  Argos is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Arakkan.

Hera was known for her jealous and vengeful nature, most notably against Zeus's lovers and offspring, but also against mortals who crossed her, such as   Pelias .   Paris   offended her by choosing   Aphrodite   as the most beautiful goddess, earning Hera's hatred.

Paris is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Paran [ related to paraman]  and Aphrodite is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Aa peru  Aathi Thee.

The name of Hera, the queen of the gods, admits a variety of mutually exclusive etymologies; one possibility is to connect it with  hora  , season, and to interpret it as ripe for marriage and according to  Plato   erate  - beloved  as   Zeus is said to have married her for love.  According to  Plutarch , Hera was an allegorical name and an anagram of aer  - air. So begins the section on Hera in  Walter Burkert 's  Greek Religion . In a note, he records other scholars' arguments "for the meaning Mistress as a feminine to   Heros , Master."  John Chadwick , a decipherer of Linear B, remarks ""her name may be connected with  heros , , 'hero', but that is no help, since it too is etymologically obscure." A.J. van Windekens, offers "young cow, heifer", which is consonant with Hera's common epithet   boopis , cow-eyed.  E-ra  appears in  Mycenaean   Linear B   tablets.

Hera is the   Tamil   Aara ,  the E- ra  of the Mycenaean  Linear B tablets. Aara   or  Aaram   means  the ‘ rounded' one.  Aaram also  means  the necklace.  Aravu  means the  snake.  The Tamil word Aaram , [the round one ] was  coined  from the  coiled up [rounded]  snake .  The Egyptian name of the sun god Horus   is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Orai  which in turn means the star or the planet.  So also the Greek word Hora  , meaning  season. The word Orai  had originated from the word  Aara  or  Aaram   or  Arava . Hence the name Hera  denotes the      Aaram  , the neck lace of  Zeus , the  Tamil  Seyon  and   it also denotes the snake necklace of  the sun god  Zeus , the  Dravidian god Siva.    Erate   is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Orai Thee  . The Tamil  name  which is  equivalent to   ‘erate' is  ‘Aarthee'. Aarathee means  the fire  as the necklace , the round fire.  Also it means ‘ to embrace  your lover'  as the snakes embrace[ Aravu - anaithal ] each other.  It also means  ‘to embrace' as the  fire does.

Hera may have been the first to whom the Greeks dedicated an enclosed roofed temple sanctuary, at Samos about 800 BC. It was replaced later by the  Heraion , one of the largest Greek temples anywhere (Greek  altars  were in front of the temples, under the open sky). There were many temples built on this site so evidence is somewhat confusing and archaeological dates are uncertain.

We know that the temple created by the  Rhoecus  sculptors and architects was destroyed between 570- 60 BC. This was replaced by the  Polycratean  temple 540-530 BC. In one of these temples we see a forest of 155 columns. There is also no evidence of tiles on this temple suggesting either the temple was never finished or that the temple was open to the sky.

Rhoecus is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Ra[a]kkan. The female form is  Rakaayee. Rakkan [ Ra+ ka+an] is the sun god lord Siva. The ancient   sculptors and architects  of   Indus Valley , Mesopotamia , Egypt , Sudan , Greek and Greek islands  and  Mesoamerica  were the Tamil speaking  Dravidians.

Earlier sanctuaries, whose dedication to Hera is less secure, were of the Mycenaean type called "house sanctuaries". Samos excavations have revealed votive offerings, many of them late 8th and 7th centuries BC, which show that Hera at Samos was not merely a local Greek goddess of the  Aegean : the museum there contains figures of gods and suppliants and other votive offerings from  Armenia,  Babylon Iran Assyria Egypt , testimony to the reputation which this sanctuary of Hera enjoyed and to the large influx of pilgrims. Compared to this mighty goddess, who also possessed the earliest temple at  Olympia  and two of the great fifth and sixth century temples of  Paestum , the  termagant  of  Homer  and the myths is an "almost...comic figure" according to Burkert.

Aegean  sea  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Aathiyan  sea. Armenia  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Aaravu mani  or  Aara  Mani or  Mani Yaram . Babvylon is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Ba Balan or Boo Balan. The name  Balan is related to the god   Baa'l. Iran is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Thee karan, the sun god or the fire god.

Though greatest and earliest free-standing temple to Hera was the Heraion of Samos, in the Greek mainland Hera was especially worshipped as "Argive Hera" ( Hera Argeia ) at her sanctuary that stood between the former Mycenaean city-states of Argos and Mycenae, where the festivals in her honor called  Heraia  were celebrated. "The three cities I love best," the ox-eyed Queen of Heaven declares ( Iliad , book iv) "are Argos, Sparta and Mycenae of the broad streets." There were also temples to Hera in Olympia,   Corinth Tiryns , Perachora and the sacred island of  Delos . In  Magna Graecia , two Doric temples to Hera were constructed at Paestum, about 550 BC and about 450 BC. One of them, long called the  Temple of Poseidon  was identified in the 1950s as a second temple there of Hera.

Argive Hera or Hera Argeia   is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Orai theeya or Aatheeya. Mycenae is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Ma saenai.Perachora is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Periya Karai. The island Delos is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  La+ tha .  Latha means the moon goddess, the floating island  .  If we write La + ta   in reverse order the name Lato[ Heracles ‘ mother]  and  the name of the  island Delos  will come.

In Euboea the festival of the Great Daedala, sacred to Hera, was celebrated on a sixty-year cycle.

Daedala, the city , is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Thee thalam.  The Daedala[ Thee Tala ]  festival celebrated in Euboae once in 60 years  is very much similar to the 60 years cycle of the Tamil calendar.

According to Walter Burkert, both Hera and Demeter have many characteristic attributes of pre-Greek Great Goddesses.

According to the   Homeric Hymn   III to   Delian Apollo, Hera detained   Eileithyia   to already prevent   Leto   from going into labor with Artemis and   Apollo, since the father was   Zeus. The other goddesses present at the birthing on    Delos   sent   Iris   to bring her. As she stepped upon the island, the divine birth began. In the myth of the birth of   Heracles, it is Hera herself who sits at the door instead, delaying the birth of Heracles until her protégé,   Eurystheus, had been born first.

Delian Apollo is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Theelaiyan   Aa Palan . Eilethiyia is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Ozhi theeyal. Leto is the Tamil Latha   Artemis is the corrupted form of the Tamil  Orai thee ma [ Aru Mathi or  Arai Mathi].  Delos is the name of Latha , the letters of the name [Thee+ La]  written in reverse order.   Heracles is the Tamil Aravu Kaliyon. Eyrutheus is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Orai theeyon .

The   Homeric Hymn   to   Pythian Apollo   makes the monster   Typhaon   the offspring of archaic Hera in her   Minoan   form, produced out of herself, like a monstrous version of   Hephaestus, and whelped in a cave in   Cilicia.  She gave the creature to   Python   to raise.

Homer is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Amar or Amaran.  Python  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Pithan, the lord Siva who had the snake as the necklace and got the name Pithan , the mad man. Typhaon   is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Thee Paeyon. Minoan is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Meenavan , the fisherman .

In the   Temple of Hera   at Olympia, Hera's seated cult figure was older than the warrior figure of Zeus that accompanied it. Homer expressed her relationship with Zeus delicately in the   Iliad , in which she declares to Zeus, "I am   Cronus' eldest daughter, and am honorable not on this ground only, but also because I am your wife, and you are king of the gods."   Though Zeus is often called   Zeus Heraios   'Zeus, (consort) of Hera', Homer's treatment of Hera is less than respectful, and in late anecdotal versions of the myths (see below) she appeared to spend most of her time plotting revenge on the   nymphs   seduced by her Consort, for Hera upheld all the old right rules of Hellene society and sorority.

Zeus Herios is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Seyon  the Oraiyan.

There has been considerable scholarship, reaching back to   Johann Jakob Bachofen   in the mid-nineteenth century,    about the possibility that Hera, whose early importance in Greek religion is firmly established, was originally the goddess of a matriarchal people, presumably inhabiting Greece before the   Hellenes. In this view, her activity as   goddess   of marriage established the patriarchal bond of her own subordination: her resistance to the conquests of Zeus is rendered as Hera's "jealousy", the main theme of literary anecdotes that undercut her ancient   cult.

However, it remains a controversial claim that primitive matriarchy existed in Greece or elsewhere.

The matriarchal society that existed in Crete and Greek islands was  that of the pre Hellenistic  Dravidian civilization  . Hera  was  not a jealous woman as portrayed in the Hellenistic mythology.  Even she was not against Heracles or Paris, but then she was against the abuse of women in the hands of Zeus ,  who established the  Patriarchal  society.   Hera was the protector of the womenfolk.

Hera was most known as the matron goddess,   Hera Teleia ; but she presided over weddings as well. In myth and cult, fragmentary references and archaic practices remain of the   sacred marriage   of Hera and Zeus, and at   Plataea, there was a sculpture of Hera seated as a bride by   Callimachus, as well as the matronly standing Hera.

Hera  Teleia  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Hera - Thee  laya  or Thalaiyal   . Thee means fire and La means‘ parkling ‘.   Thalaiyal means the head of the women. Plataea is the

corrupted form of the Tamil name Pala theeyam and  Callimachus  is the corrupted   form of  the Tamil  name Kali  or Kalli magan., the son of Kali , lord Murugan .  ‘Kalli' means beautiful in Greek .

Hera was also worshipped as a virgin: there was a tradition in   Stymphalia   in   Arcadia   that there had been a   triple shrine   to Hera the Girl [Pais]), the Adult Woman Teleia, and the Separated Ch?re 'Widowed' or 'Divorced'     In the   region around Argos, the temple of Hera in   Hermione   near Argos was to Hera the Virgin.   At the spring of   Kanathos, close to   Nauplia, Hera renewed her virginity annually, in rites that were not to be spoken of ( arrheton ).

Stympalia  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Thee Ambalam , the red sky.  Pais  is the  Tamil name Paiyan means young boy. Teleia is the  Tamil Thalaiyal , the head  of the women folk.   Chere is the corrupted  form of the Tamil Kari as in  Onkari  , the aggressive form of the mother  against the Matriarchal society.  Hermione  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Aravu mani  or Ara mani or Mani aram.  Kanathos is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Ko Nathan  or Gana  Nathan.

In Hellenistic imagery, Hera's chariot was pulled by peacocks, birds not known to Greeks before the conquests of   Alexander. Alexander's tutor,   Aristotle, refers to it as "the Persian bird." The peacock motif was revived in the   Renaissance   iconography that unified Hera and Juno, and which European painters focused on.       A bird that had been associated with Hera on an archaic level, where most of the Aegean goddesses were associated with "their" bird, was the   cuckoo, which appears in mythic fragments concerning the first wooing of a virginal Hera by Zeus.

Peacock   is the symbol of blue sky. Alexander  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Alagu sundar.

Hera bore several epithets in the mythological tradition, including:

·            Aigophágos   'Goat-Eater' among the   Lacedaemonians.  Lacedamonias   is  the corrupted form of the Tamil name La ke tha ammoniyam . Lalitha is the related name to Laketha.

·              Akráia -    '(She) of the Heights'  --Akarai [ Aa + ka+ Orai]  means the other side of the river , the opposite bank of the river or  the sky .

·              Ammonia --Ammonia is the corrupted form of the Tamil name   Ammani .   The etymology  of  the name of the Ammoniam salts  which is white in color has  the  Dravidian root.

·            Argéia ) '(She) of   Argos' -- Argeia is the Tamil orai theeyal .    Argos is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Arakkan[ Ara Kon] . Arakki is the female form.

·            Basíleia   'Queen'.

·

·             Bounáia '   (She) of the Mound' in   Corinth .

·

·

·            Bo?pis   'Cow-Eyed'   or 'Cow-Faced'  -   The Egyptian coe goddess Hathor is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Aa thirai  or Athira.  Aa Nirai is the other word for cattle. Cow is  worshipped in India as Ko Matha.

·            Leuk?lenos   'White-Armed'.  Leuko is the combination of is the Tamil La+ka. La is white or glistening  or the moon and ka is the sky or the sun.  Lena  or luna   is the Tamil Nila [ Nila --written in reverse order [ La+ ni ] .  Hence  Leukolena  is a pure Tamil name meaning the glistening  moon of the sky.  Leuko penia , Leukocytes , and Leukoplakia  are the words  which had originated from the Tamil letters   La  and  ka.

·            Pais   'Child' [in her role as virgin] . Pais  is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Paian , young boy.

·

·            Parthénos    'Virgin'.    Pathini  in Tamil   means a  chaste female, a nymph. Parathai means  a  prostitute . Barathi[ Parthee ] is a related word

·            Teléia    as goddess of marriage.   Teleia is the Tamil ‘Thalaiyal' , the head  or the eldest or  the ruler  of womenfolk.

·             C h?re   'Widowed.    Ko  Ori  [  Ka Orai ]   is the   Greek  Chere.   Ongari  is the name of the Amman goddess of Tamil Nadu.

Hera presides over the right arrangements of the marriage and is the archetype of the union in the marriage bed, but she is not notable as a mother. The legitimate offspring of her union with Zeus are   Ares   (the god of war),   Hebe   (the goddess of youth),   Eris   (the goddess of discord) and   Eileithyia   (goddess of childbirth).     Hera was jealous of Zeus' giving birth to   Athena   without recourse to her (actually with   Metis), so she gave birth to   Hephaestus   without him. Hera was then disgusted with Hephaestus' ugliness and threw him from   Mount Olympus. In an alternate version, Hera alone produced Hebe after being impregnated by a head of lettuce   or by beating her hand on the Earth a solemnizing action for the Greeks.

Ares is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Aran . Eris is the Tamil name Ari .Metis is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Mathi . Hephasteus  is the corrupted form of the Tamil  Aapayaenthan .

When Hera discovered that   Leto   was pregnant and that Zeus was the father, she banned Leto from giving birth on terra-firma, or the mainland, or any island at sea. Poseidon gave pity to Leto and guided her to the floating island of   Delos, which was neither mainland nor a real island and Leto was able to give birth to her children on the island. As a gesture of gratitude, Delos was secured with four pillars. The island later became sacred to Apollo. Alternatively, Hera kidnapped   Eileithyia, the goddess of childbirth, to prevent Leto from going into labor. The other gods bribed Hera with a beautiful necklace nobody could resist and she finally gave in.

Lato  is the Tamil moon goddess  Latha  and the  island of the sky  or the floating island  is the moon   Lata , La+ta.  La means   the moon or  the glistening  one. La is the thee, the fire.   Lata means the'  glistening fire'  If we write la+ta  in reverse order the name of the island Delos will  come.

When Hera learned that   Semele, daughter of   Cadmus   King of   Thebes, was pregnant by Zeus, she disguised herself as Semele's nurse and persuaded the princess to insist that Zeus show himself to her in his true form. When he was compelled to do so, his thunder and lightning blasted her. Zeus took the child and completed its gestation sewn into his own thigh.

Semele is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Sem mala  or Shyamala   or Mala thee, Sem Mala means the' red necklace'. Sharmila is a related proper name.  Cadmus is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Kodaman  or Gowthaman.

In another version, Dionysus was originally the son of Zeus by either Demeter or   Persephone. Hera sent her Titans to rip the baby apart, from which he was called Zagreus ("Torn in Pieces"). Zeus rescued the heart and gave it to   Semele   to impregnate her; or, the heart was saved, variously, by   Athena,   Rhea, or   Demeter.

Dionysus or the Tamil  Thee yoni Seyon   was the  son of  Demeter or the Tamil Thee Ma  Athirai .  Mathuri  is  the related name  to the Greek Demeter. Thee Maathirai  or Mathuri  means the  great fire in the sky or the  ‘sweet ‘ one!   Zagreus is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Sakkariyan .  Sakkarai means sugar in Tamil and also it means the white moon  or the star .   The word  Sakkarai is the combination of   Sa+ Ka+ Orai. The letter ‘ sa' could mean the moon[ chandran or soman  or suma ]  or even the sun .   Athena is the pure Tamil name Aathi  Annai  or Aatheenai , the primordial fire.

Tiresias   was a priest of Zeus, and as a young man he encountered two snakes mating and hit them with a stick. He was then transformed into a woman. As a woman, Tiresias became a priestess of Hera, married and had children, including   Manto. After seven years as a woman, Tiresias again found mating snakes, struck them with her staff, and  became a man once more.

Tiresias is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Thiru Seyon. Disturbing  the mating snakes with a stick  is symbolically  inducing castration of woman  by a man  as snakes are symbol of womenfolk  and  fertility . Hence Tiresias was punished by Hera, the goddess of marriage   to undergo him the  pain of the snakes[ after swallowing a big prey]   namely the pregnancy pain of the women.  Manto is the corrupted form of the Tamil name Manthan  , the human . As a woman Tiresias saw  the mating  snakes  again  ,  she was  struck by the stick  of the  Zeus, the sun rays as  Tiresias was the priest of Zeus  who had already  repented for the  misdeed  with the snakes earlier . Struck by the stick of a man   by a woman equals to castration of that woman and thus the castrated woman had again changed into the  original man    form .  A female per se cannot have a staff of her own unless she is married to a man. Hence the female Tiresias could not have hurt the snakes for the second time as told in the myth as she had no stick of her own!  Staff or stick symbolically signifies the male phallus.

As a result of his experiences, Zeus and Hera asked him to settle the question of which sex, male or female, experienced more pleasure during   intercourse. Zeus claimed it was women; Hera claimed it was men. When Tiresias sided with Zeus, Hera struck him blind.

Since Zeus could not undo what she had done, he gave him the gift of prophecy. An alternative and less commonly told story has it that Tiresias was blinded by   Athena   after he stumbled onto her bathing naked. His mother,   Chariclo, begged her to undo her curse, but Athena could not; she gave him prophecy instead.

Making  one  blind is  making   one castrated   as  Athena had made Tiresias  blind for seeing her  naked.    Chariclo    is the corrupted form of the Tamil name  Kari  Kalan  or Kari  kolan   , the sun god.  Kari =  Ka +orai .  Kari also means the  coal , made  black   by the sun  .   Kari Kali could be the female form.

The myth  of  snake and Tiresias , the  myth  of Hera  sending the snakes  to kill the baby Heracles  and the myth of   nine headed snake, the  Larnaean  Hydra raised by Hera , all   indicate that  Hera  was once a goddess of  fertility , the serpent  goddess   and her Greek name  Hera[ e-ra]  must be related to the Tamil name  Ara or  Aarayee.
